Agreement to terms
The terms and conditions found herein dictate how this website will be used by the Customer. The Customer’s statutory rights are not affected.
The use of this website by the Customer constitutes full agreement to the terms and conditions.
If you do not agree to the terms and conditions on this page do not use this website. The agreement to the terms and conditions by the Customer is applicable to all orders, transactions and contracts for SWFurnishings, any other services carried out by SWF , or any other products made available to the customer. Acceptance of delivery is included in this.
These terms and conditions can be amended at any time and SWF reserve the right to do so.
When the customer places an order they are agreeing to the terms and conditions. The responsibility falls to the customer to check the terms and conditions when purchasing with us.
SWFurnishings take every possible measure to ensure all products are listed accurately on our website, however there are a number of factors beyond our control that may affect perceived likeness. These include but are not limited to:

All products listed on the website or any partner websites are not guaranteed to be immediately ready for delivery. The customer will be notified of any waiting time – and will normally be marked as “Back order” on the website if not available for quick delivery.
A phone number is required for all orders to assist the delivery company in contacting the customer.
By placing an order with SWF the Customer agrees to take delivery of their order at any time of day. Should the customer fail to receive the delivery or provide necessary documentation to receive the delivery the products may be returned to us. The Customer will be responsible for paying charges including but not limited to:
We will go to reasonable lengths to ensure delivery of orders within an agreed time frame. Should a time frame not be agreed with the customer, orders will be delivered within a reasonable time.
In instances where a delivery time is quoted by a third party – such as delivery firm, we will not be held responsible for any difference between this and the originally stated delivery estimate.
In the even of a delay, the Customer does not have the right to cancel the order, unless 30 days written notice has been given, and SWF have failed to deliver in this 30 days.
When goods are delivered they should be inspected and signed for as they arrive. If any damage has occurred during transit by the delivery company, the goods must be signed for as damaged / refused. Once goods are signed for , they are being accepted in good condition and accepting liability for them. This means any future claims for products damaged in transit will be invalid. This does not affect manufacturer defects.
Some deliveries are curbside / pallet delivery meaning you are responsible for taking into your house unless otherwise stated. If pallet delivery on larger items you will be notified before your order is dispatched to ensure you are able to arrange taking in the goods on a suitable delivery date.
Delivery charge is £20, except to highlands, and certain rural areas such as AB IV KY and certain PA postcodes. These areas will occur an additional £20 delivery fee which you will be contacted about when ordering , or can add to your basket when placing the order using the following link https://swfurnishings.co.uk/product/highlands-islands-rural-delivery-charge/.
Deliveries to far north postcode areas such as KW and Northern Ireland require a £50 subcharge to contribute to heavy delivery fees for these areas. This will cover items up to 140KG. Please add the following to your basket when ordering https://swfurnishings.co.uk/product/delivery-subcharge
Delivery times can vary on product and time of year, however we aim to have delivered within 1-5 working days. If delivery times are longer you will be notified.
Generally Julian Bowen stock takes 10 working days as comes via a different delivery method. This method they shall deliver to room of choice.

It is the responsibility of the Customer to inspect products for damage before they sign for them.
During Covid-19 no physical signature is taken by drivers, instead you must verbally agree the goods have been delivered in condition or not – and if any issues ask the driver to note on the delivery “damaged” or refuse delivery.
SWFurnishings take no responsibility for products damaged during the delivery process if the customer has signed for the item without noting the word “damage”. No other note or way of signature will be accepted for damaged goods, this is in line with our delivery companies terms and conditions with ourselves. If an order is simply signed for, it is taken as being checked and in good condition.
The Customer has the right to refuse delivery of damaged items. If an item is returned to us on the grounds that it has been refused by the Customer and it shows no sign of damage, SWF will treat it as a cancellation.
Cancellation, Returns, and Refunds.
The Customer has the right to cancel an order for any product purchased from SWF within 14 days of receiving it.
When returning a product to us, seven days written notice must be given expressing the intention to return the product and reason of return.
Once a product has been dispatched it is the customers responsibility to pay for the return, even if they have not yet received it.
Refunds will only be issued for products that are returned to us in original packaging in a resellable condition.
When returning an item, the Customer is recommended to contact ourselves for advice on packaging and using a reputable delivery service who will fully insure the goods.
Part exchanges and part returns will not be accepted unless written agreement has been given by SWF in advance.
Should the Customer believe the product they have received to be damaged or incorrect, they should not build or use the product. SWFurnishings do not accept return of assembled furniture if the product could have been identified as wrong or damaged before construction.
If there is an issue with a product which could not have been detected before construction, they should provide images of the problem via email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Any costs or damages that occur as consequence of damage or incorrect furniture being used are not the responsibility of us. This includes but is not limited to:
Re-fitting or uplifting
Damages caused by fitting or inspection
Cost of materials
Any other inconvenience including loss of earnings
If you would like to return an item to us, please send an email to email@example.com with your order details and reason of return, along with photographs to show the item in a resellable condition i.e unopened.
A return/cancellation of any order once it has been dispatched from our warehouse is the customers responsibility, even if it has not reached your property you will be responsible for paying for delivery of the goods back to us which can vary in cost from £40 upwards depending on item(s) purchased.
